I first came to WAHAHA in 2017. My son was only 8 years old and neither of us could speak much Japanese so we first took private lessons. Every year, we would spend 1 to 2 months in Fukuoka over the summer vacation to take lessons. We couldn’t come to Japan for 3 years because of Covid. Last year, I was able to come to Fukuoka for the first time in a while and take lessons. This was my fourth time.

My son is now in junior high school and both of our Japanese levels have improved, so we participated in group lessons for the first time. The group lessons allowed me to learn with other students and focus more on speaking. I enjoyed my time in Fukuoka because WAHAHA has many events.
